Monocle enables you to view RTSP/RTP camera streams from your private network cameras with Alexa video-enabled devices such as:

The Amazon Echo Show 5, FireTV Stick 4K (3rd generation), FireTV 4K (3rd generation), FireTV Cube and Toshiba 4K Smart LED TV - Fire TV Edition each require using the Monocle Gateway service to work.
The Monocle Gateway service is required because the latest Amazon Alexa enabled devices implement further restrictions and only permit RTSP connections from these devices to camera endpoints over encrypted (TLS) transport layer and only permitted to connect on port 443 using fully qualified domain names with valid a SSL certificate. These rigid requirements make it near impossible for most IP cameras to work directly with Alexa devices and thus the Monocle Gateway service acts as a bridge by fulfilling these requirements and enabling communications with your local IP cameras.
The Amazon Echo Show 5, Echo Spot, FireTV Stick and Toshiba 4K Smart LED TV - Fire TV Edition are limited to streaming IP camera video resolutions at 1080P (1920x1080) and below.
